Since 2003 and the introduction of the Personal Injuries Assessment Board all claims for personal injury must firstly proceed through the Personal Injuries Assessment Board (PIAB), also called the Injuries Board. Clohessy Minihane Solicitors make applications to the Personal Injuries Assessment Board for compensation on behalf of clients. We liaise with your treating doctors and medics in obtaining medical reports for use in the case. We calculate your loss of earnings, if any, and ensure that you can substaniate a claim for your other out of pocket expenses such as medical expenses, physiotherapy fees, pharmacy expenses, etc.
If PIAB make an assessment of your case we advise you on the adequacy or otherwise of the proposed compensation. We can give our opinion of what we expect the courts might award in your case.
If the assessment of PIAB fails to meet with your expectations we can then issue legal proceedings to recover appropriate compensation through the courts.
